The Wonder Pick feature gives you a shot at snagging cards from packs your friends have opened. Plus, keep an eye out for Bonus Picks, which are free of Wonder Stamina costs and are marked by the Chansey icon. These are great opportunities to expand your collection without spending resources.

Don't miss out on the event missions, including participating in Wonder Picks, to earn event shop tickets. These tickets can be exchanged for exciting rewards, such as Manaphy & Piplup-themed backdrops and covers, as well as a new Futuristic Device backdrop.

I've always found the Wonder Pick mechanic to be straightforward, almost deceptively so. Its simplicity, coupled with fewer complaints compared to the trading mechanic, speaks volumes about its appeal. While it's not the most reliable way to get new cards, the addition of event shop tickets as rewards is a smart move by the TCG Pocket team to encourage more engagement.
