Get ready, Pokémon TCG Pocket fans! The long-awaited trading feature is finally making its way into the game, alongside the thrilling Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Soon, you'll be able to swap cards with your friends and dive into new adventures with some legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh region.

When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?

Mark your calendars for January 29th, 2025, because that's when trading will be introduced to Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will hit the game. This update will also bring fresh new covers for your digital binder and display board, featuring the iconic Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

The trading feature has been eagerly anticipated by the community. To trade cards, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that only cards from rarity levels 1-4 and ★1 can be traded. Initially, you'll be able to trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, with more cards becoming tradeable in future updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion is all about the Sinnoh region, bringing with it two new booster packs featuring the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with stunning new card illustrations. You'll also find Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, and the beloved Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. For a deeper dive into what's coming, check out this video below:
