Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance is here! This extended beta test offers returning players another opportunity to experience the game, plus exciting new content. Learn how to participate and what awaits you.

New Monster, New Hunt

The second Open Beta Test is confirmed for the first two weeks of February, offering two distinct periods: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta introduces fresh content, including the formidable Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series.

Character data from the previous beta carries over, transferable to the full game upon release (though progress won't be saved). Participating beta testers receive rewards: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy for your weapon or Seikret, plus a special bonus item pack for a smoother early game experience.

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team heard player requests for another chance to participate or revisit the game. While ongoing development continues, including fixes detailed in a previous community update, those improvements won't be included in this beta test.
