Exciting developments are unfolding in Monster Hunter Now, with Niantic introducing a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in its testing phase, aimed at gathering player feedback to refine and perfect the feature before its official rollout.
The Monster Outbreaks testing will take place from April 26th to 27th. The event will occur twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 10:59 AM and again from 3:00 PM to 3:59 PM, according to local time zones.
During the event, specific outbreak points on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The objective is for players to collaborate and take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the designated one-hour window. This is not a global tally but specific to each outbreak spot.
To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Note that the party feature won't be available during these outbreaks; only in-person group hunts will be counted. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a unique icon, and you can tap on these icons to view more details. A sign-up roster is also available at each location, allowing you to indicate when you plan to participate.
The event's unique slaying system adds an intriguing twist. If you team up with three other hunters and successfully defeat one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the goal of 100. Should your group reach this target before the hour ends, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remaining time.
Successful completion of the 100-monster goal rewards your group with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster grants you the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.
