Rumors of a Heroes of Newerth (HoN) revival are swirling among fans following a period of silence from the developer. After the game's 2022 shutdown, recent social media activity has ignited speculation about a possible comeback.

The classic MOBA, a prominent competitor to League of Legends and Dota 2 in its heyday, ceased operations in 2022. However, after over three years of inactivity, the developer has reignited the HoN social media presence. This renewed engagement, coupled with subtle website updates featuring an animated game logo silhouette, hints at an upcoming announcement.

The rise of MOBAs following the success of Dota, a Warcraft 3 mod, is well-documented. League of Legends, Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm, and HoN all gained significant traction in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
