However, the competitive landscape shifted dramatically. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis dominated, while console players favored Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis.

A fascinating twist: Mantis, the most popular competitive character, also suffered the most defeats. She led the pack on both PC and consoles, surpassing Hela, Loki, and Magic. Consoles saw a broader success, with 14 additional characters boasting win rates exceeding 50%.

Marvel Rivals, having received over 500 mods in a single month, is now facing controversy. Nexus Mods removed modifications replacing Captain America's head with Donald Trump and Joe Biden, sparking considerable user backlash.

Nexus Mods owner, TheDarkOne, addressed the situation in a private Reddit discussion. He explained that to avoid accusations of bias, both Trump and Biden-related mods were removed simultaneously. This action, he stated, was taken to maintain neutrality.
