NetEase Games has officially announced that players using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles while playing Marvel Rivals will face account bans. The company views this as a breach of their rules, citing the unfair advantage gained from the increased control sensitivity and the continued benefit of aiming assistance. Adapters like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable players to simulate gamepad inputs with a mouse and keyboard, providing a significant edge in competitive play, particularly when auto-targeting is enabled.

NetEase defines these adapters as devices or software that mimic gamepad controls using a keyboard and mouse, resulting in an unfair advantage, especially in competitive environments. To combat this, the company has deployed sophisticated tools designed to detect adapter use with high precision. Upon detection of such violations, the offending accounts are promptly blocked.

In a related issue, it has been observed that higher FPS in Marvel Rivals can lead to increased ping. While this may be less noticeable at lower ping levels, a spike to 150 ms from a usual 90 ms can significantly disrupt gameplay. This problem is linked to the frame rate, and gamers are advised to await a patch that addresses this issue while experimenting to find the optimal balance between FPS and ping. Currently, some players suggest maintaining an FPS around 90, which might seem low compared to games like Counter-Strike 2, but is recommended for Marvel Rivals at this time.
