Marvel Rivals Season 1 Unveils the Mystical Sanctum Sanctorum Map

Get ready for a supernatural showdown! Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, introduces the captivating Sanctum Sanctorum map. This new location will be the stage for a thrilling new Doom Match mode, pitting 8-12 players against each other in a chaotic free-for-all battle for supremacy. Only the top 50% will emerge victorious.

This isn't the only new addition to the game's map roster. Season 1 also brings Midtown and Central Park to Marvel Rivals. Midtown serves as the backdrop for a fresh convoy mission, while Central Park's details remain shrouded in mystery, promising a significant mid-season reveal.

The Sanctum Sanctorum, however, is the star of the show. A recent video showcased its unique blend of opulent décor and bizarre, magical elements. Expect floating cookware, a surprising refrigerator inhabitant (a squid-like creature!), winding staircases, levitating bookshelves, and powerful artifacts. Even Doctor Strange himself graces the walls in a cheerful portrait! The attention to detail is remarkable, extending even to the inclusion of Wong (a fan favorite finally making his in-game debut) and Doctor Strange's ghostly canine companion, Bats.

This season's narrative centers around Dracula's sinister plot against Doctor Strange, leaving the Fantastic Four to defend New York City. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman join the fight at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving later in a major mid-season update.
