Magic: The Gathering's Next Set Is a Death Race, Here Are 2 New Cards

Magic: The Gathering's next expansion, Aetherdrift, plunges players into a thrilling multiversal death race. We have an exclusive preview of two new cards: Cloudspire Coordinator and Count on Luck.

Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon creature, showcases the red-white archetype. Representing the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem (introduced in Battlebond), this card emphasizes vehicle piloting. Its 3 power allows it to crew vehicles, while its activated ability generates Pilot tokens for additional crewing options. A solid addition to red-white Aetherdrift draft decks.

The rarer Count on Luck, a 3-mana enchantment, offers straightforward "impulse draw" mechanics. At the start of each of your turns, you exile the top card of your library and may play it immediately. This provides consistent card advantage for mono-red decks, but requires immediate play.

Finally, we present Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. The extended-art version features a wider art presentation, while the First-Place Foils, shiny golden cards, are exclusive to randomized buy-a-box promo packs included with each Aetherdrift box. All rares in the set, along with 10 full-art lands, receive this premium treatment.
