Mastering Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Perk System: A Prioritized Guide

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's expansive open world and character customization can feel overwhelming. This guide highlights the most impactful perks to prioritize early on, regardless of your chosen playstyle. While any build is viable, these perks offer significant advantages.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Perk Guide

Note: Your Henry's development is entirely flexible. This guide focuses on generally beneficial perks.

Essential Early Perks:

  • Main Level:

    • Opportunist: Mitigates reputation loss.
    • Charming Man: Amplifies reputation gains. Maintaining a strong reputation is crucial, especially on a first playthrough. Prioritize these two for consistent reputation management.
    • Martin's Heritage / Radzig's Heritage: Choose based on your preferred skill focus. Martin's boosts Sword Fighting, Crafting, and Survival; Radzig's enhances Heavy Weapons, Shooting, and Scholarship.
    • Good Natural: Enhances persuasion skills (+2 Persuasion, Impression, and Presence).
    • Blood of Siegfried: Provides a significant boost to armor rating (+10).
    • Heroic Vigour: Increases stamina based on Vitality levels (retroactive).
  • Strength:

    • Hard-Working Lad: Halves the weight of sacks and unconscious bodies, increasing carrying capacity by 8 pounds.
    • Pack Mule / Strong as a Bull: Further increases carrying capacity (12 and 20 pounds respectively). Essential for carrying looted items.
  • Agility:

    • Creeping Phantom: Significantly increases sneaking speed (+15%).
    • Finesse / Viper: Boosts slashing or piercing damage (+5%) depending on your weapon preference.
  • Vitality:

    • Ascetic: Slows nourishment depletion.
    • Well-Dressed: Slows dirt accumulation. These two improve the overall gameplay experience by reducing mundane chores.
    • Marathon Runner: Reduces stamina consumption while sprinting.
    • Diehard: Provides a second chance against fatal wounds.
  • Speech:

    • Hustler: Facilitates selling stolen goods and provides Stealth/Thievery experience.
    • Jack of All Trades: Provides a skill check bonus and increased experience.
    • Partner in Crime: Allows selling stolen goods without detection. Speech perks are incredibly versatile and synergize well with various gameplay aspects.

Strategic Considerations:

While carrying capacity is important, Strength perks beyond Hard-Working Lad can be acquired later depending on your build. Similarly, while Finesse and Viper are valuable, prioritize them based on your weapon choices.

The Speech perks are exceptionally powerful, significantly streamlining gameplay.

This prioritized selection of perks will provide a solid foundation for your Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 journey. Remember to consult additional resources like The Escapist for further game insights.
