Keanu Reeves Confirmed as Shadow's Voice in Sonic 3 Movie

The clip, cleverly titled "ForeSHADOWing," featured Sonic crossing his fingers, followed by a nostalgic clip of a young Keanu Reeves from the movie Speed, with Sonic humorously declaring, "Yes! Keanu, you are a national treasure!"

First Official Trailer Might Drop as Early as Next Week

Rumors of Reeves taking on the role of Shadow had been circulating for months, but this confirmation solidifies the casting. Shadow, who was first teased in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as being cryogenically frozen in a mysterious facility, is known for his complex character and shifting allegiances, often serving as both a rival and an ally to Sonic. "I think fans are going to be excited and I think fans understand how much we care about them. We changed the film from the response to the first trailer, which I think was the very right move. I think fans will feel like they're being taken care of, I hope, because we always do it for them, and it hasn’t failed yet."

The film will see the return of beloved characters, with Jim Carrey reprising his role as Doctor "Eggman" Robotnik, Colleen O'Shaughnessey returning as Tails, and Idris Elba voicing Knuckles.
