The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch with a notable pricing difference between Japan and the rest of the world. This new gaming console will be available in two distinct versions: a Japanese-language system exclusive to Japan and a Multi-Language System available globally. The Japanese version is priced at approximately $330, while the Multi-Language System version comes with a higher price tag of $449.99, a difference of over $100. This price variation is largely influenced by the current weakness of the yen against the USD, which impacts tourist purchasing power in Japan.

Residents in Japan have the option to purchase the Multi-Language System version if they prefer. However, the Japanese-language system will be exclusively available in Japan and can only be linked to Nintendo Accounts set to the Japanese region. This version supports only the Japanese language and is limited to software available on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo advises fans who want to use the Switch 2 in languages other than Japanese to opt for the Multi-Language System version. Further details about this version will be disclosed on April 4.
