One of the most exciting announcements was the introduction of AI-generated "CPCs" - Co-Playable Characters. Unveiled by PUBG's Krafton on January 8th, CPCs are not your typical NPCs. These characters are powered by generative AI and are set to revolutionize gameplay in both PUBG and inZOI.

The implementation of CPCs in inZOI, dubbed "Smart Zoi," promises to bring a new level of emotional depth and personality to the simulation game. This advancement will make interactions within the game more lifelike and engaging, enhancing the overall experience for players.

Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA ACE, CPCs will enable real-time conversations with players, adapting to the current game scenario. “Our collaboration with NVIDIA is a testament to the transformative potential of AI in gaming, and we plan to work closely together to push the boundaries of what is possible," says Kangwook Lee, Head of the Deep Learning Division at Krafton.
