Mastering Mount Acquisition in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's expansive open world can initially feel overwhelming. Efficient traversal requires a trusty steed. This guide details how to acquire a horse.
Reuniting with Your Original Horse
You can reclaim your starting horse, Pebbles. Travel to Semine in the southern region and speak with the horse trader. However, securing Pebbles requires either a Groschen payment, successful persuasion, or intimidation. In my playthrough, aligning with Radovan the blacksmith and acquiring finer attire enhanced my persuasion skills, allowing me to obtain Pebbles without payment (though at a slight reputational cost).
The Art of Horse Theft
Alternatively, you can acquire a horse through less conventional means. Wild horses are rare; however, farms and stables offer opportunities. Stealing a horse carries the risk of detection and confrontation with the owner.
A convenient location for horse theft is the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond in the west, belonging to the local fishermen. Two horses are readily available for the taking.
Once you've secured a horse, visit the Nomads' Camp (east of Vidlak Pond) and engage the horse trainer. For a fee, he'll teach you how to saddle and tame your newly acquired mount. Note that riding the horse untamed is also an option.
