Hearthstone Unveils Raptor Year with Exciting New Content!

Hearthstone is gearing up for an exciting Year of the Raptor in 2025, filled with surprises, innovative gameplay, and fresh features. Fans can look forward to the usual triple dose of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all set to roll out soon. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has already received an overwhelmingly positive response, fueling Blizzard's enthusiasm to keep the momentum going throughout the year. To give players a glimpse into the future, Blizzard has unveiled a detailed roadmap.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most anticipated updates is the revamp of Arena, which has been in development since last year and is now ready to launch. This refresh aims to attract a new generation of players while retaining the charm of Hearthstone's classic mode. Cosmetics are also getting a significant upgrade with the introduction of new Mythic skins, Signature cards, and a novel addition: Pets. These adorable companions are part of a new system for acquiring cosmetics, though Blizzard is keeping the full details under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, "Into the Emerald Dream." Card reveals are scheduled to start next week, and to celebrate, an in-game event is already underway. Players can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a unique Raptor Herald card by completing the Event Track.

What Else Is Coming?

Alongside the expansion, a new evolving game board themed around the Year of the Raptor will be introduced. This board will remain in Hearthstone throughout the year and will receive visual and audio updates with each new expansion, enhancing the immersive experience for players.
