Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Launch with the Fantastic Four
Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified launch event.
This supersized season includes:
- Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations: the Sanctum Sanctorum (launching with Season 1 and featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
- The Fantastic Four Debut: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) arrive on January 10th. The Thing and Human Torch will join the roster in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.
- Extended Content: Expect a significantly longer season, approximately six months, compared to the usual three-month cycle.
While the expanded Season 1 content is exciting news, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. NetEase Games hasn't clarified how this oversized season will affect future content updates, but for now, it's anticipated that two new heroes or villains will be added per subsequent season. With so much in store, the future of Marvel Rivals looks incredibly promising.
