GTA Lead Designer Unveils MindsEye: A Techno Spy Thriller

Leslie Benzies, the renowned former lead game designer behind Rockstar hits like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is gearing up to launch his latest project, MindsEye. The game recently showcased a fresh look during the PlayStation State of Play, stirring excitement among fans.

The newly released trailer for MindsEye presents a thrilling high-tech spy narrative that draws noticeable parallels to Grand Theft Auto. The game features third-person shooting, high-quality cinematics, and dynamic drive-and-shoot sequences, all of which you can experience in the cinematic trailer below.

According to the official press release, *MindsEye* centers around protagonist Jacob Diaz, who is fitted with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This device has led to fragmented flashbacks of his military past, driving him on a quest to uncover the truth about his history. His journey pits him against an AI-powered military force intent on thwarting his efforts.

MindsEye has been in the works for several years since Benzies left Rockstar Games to establish his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy. In collaboration with Hitman developer IO Interactive, MindsEye is set to be a blockbuster action-adventure game. Additionally, it will debut on the Everywhere platform, which we previously likened to "Big budget Roblox" following a visit to their studio in 2024.

While the new trailer did not touch on Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises to be an exhilarating addition to the action genre, crafted by a leading figure in gaming. The game is slated for release in the summer of 2025.
