"God of War Ragnarok 20th Anniversary Update: Patch Notes Reveal Dark Odyssey Collection"

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the God of War franchise with the latest God of War Ragnarök update, version 06.02. This patch introduces the exciting Dark Odyssey Collection, which is now available to all players at no extra cost. Santa Monica Studio has released the full patch notes, detailing the rich content included in this celebratory update.

The Dark Odyssey Collection brings back the iconic black and gold theme, inspired by the original God of War (2005) and the God of War II's God Mode reward skin. This collection features new cosmetic options for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, as well as updated appearances for all of Kratos' godly weaponry. Players can enjoy the Dark Odyssey Armor for Kratos, complete with the Dark Odyssey Breastplate, Bracers, and Belt. Additionally, there are new vestments for Atreus and a witch frock for Freya.

The update also includes Dark Odyssey appearances and attachments for Kratos' weapons, such as the Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Draupnir Spear, along with various shield appearances. Note that these weapon appearances are designed for the fully upgraded versions of each weapon and will be available only upon reaching those upgrades.

A significant addition to this update is the "Edit Appearance" feature, allowing players to customize their favorite looks without affecting the armor's abilities and skills. This new option provides greater flexibility in personalizing Kratos' appearance to match your preferred playstyle.

Whether you're diving into the epic battles against Thor and Odin for the first time or revisiting the saga, now is the perfect time to experience God of War Ragnarök on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or PC.

While the Dark Odyssey Collection has thrilled many fans, some had hoped for modern remasters of earlier titles like God of War, God of War 2, and God of War 3. However, no such plans have been announced yet. Alongside this update, Sony is also releasing new merchandise and vinyl releases to keep the God of War community engaged and entertained.
