How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is an essential combat item that you can acquire early in your journey through Freedom Wars Remastered. Once you reach Level 003 Code Clearance, make your way to Zakka in The Warren. Zakka is your go-to spot for acquiring various weapons and combat items, including the Flare Knife, which is available for 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To equip the Flare Knife, navigate to the Loadout menu within the Personal Responsibility Portal. Here, you'll find an available slot under Combat Items where you can select and equip the Flare Knife, preparing it for use in your next battle.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is described as a reusable combat tool specifically designed for severing parts of the Abductors. This feature is particularly advantageous for players who favor Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons, as it allows them to sever limbs without needing to switch to Light Melee weapons. Note, however, that the Flare Knife is a one-time-use item, requiring you to purchase another for subsequent Operations.
To effectively use the Flare Knife, first lock onto the severable part of the Abductor, then use your Thorn to pull yourself towards it. With the Flare Knife equipped in your active slot, you'll be prompted to initiate the severing action. This will trigger a quick-time event (QTE) where you'll need to rapidly press a designated button to fill a depletion bar. Successfully completing this will sever the targeted part. Be mindful that the Abductor may attempt to disrupt your efforts by leaping or crashing into walls.
For a more streamlined approach when playing with friends online, consider coordinating to repeatedly snare the Abductor, simplifying the severing process.
