When a Gaming Legends skin graces Fortnite, predicting its return to the Item Shop is anyone's guess. Some, like Kratos, have been absent for years, while others, like Master Chief, have made a triumphant return. The iconic protagonist of the Halo series, Master Chief, had been in a virtual deep freeze for nearly 1,000 days since his last appearance on June 3, 2022, until a festive surprise on December 23, 2024.
Players can now don their Spartan armor and leap from the Battle Bus as Petty Officer John-117 to secure that Victory Royale as Xbox's legendary mascot. But what exactly does the Master Chief Bundle in Fortnite include, and how much will it set you back in V-Bucks?
How to Get Master Chief in Fortnite

As of December 23, 7 PM ET, players can navigate to the Fortnite Item Shop and find Master Chief under his dedicated tab. For 1,500 V-Bucks, you'll get the iconic Master Chief skin, complete with his Halo Infinite armor, and the Battle Legend Back Bling at no extra cost. While a LEGO Style isn't available, you can enhance your experience with various Halo-themed items from the Master Chief Bundle or purchase them individually:

How to Get the Matte Black Master Chief in Fortnite
According to Epic Games' announcement on X (formerly Twitter) via the Fortnite Status account, the Matte Black style for Master Chief remains unlockable. To get this sleek variant, simply purchase the Master Chief outfit and then play a single match of Fortnite Battle Royale on an Xbox Series X|S. This will unlock the coveted Matte Black style.
Contrary to earlier statements, the Matte Black style is now available for players who buy the skin after December 2024, reversing the previous restriction. So, if you're aiming to add this exclusive style to your collection, now's your chance.
