Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters

Rifts are rarely good news in games, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated game, Eerie Worlds, the follow-up to Cards, the Universe and Everything. This tactical CCG shifts the focus to monsters emerging from these rifts.

Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors.

The game boasts an impressive roster, encompassing creatures from diverse cultures. Encounter Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, and Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others from around the globe populate the game. Each card includes detailed, researched descriptions, adding an educational element to the gameplay.

Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating complex tactical possibilities. Monsters share some properties but differ in others, leading to strategic depth.

Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. While starting with 160 basic cards, merging unlocks many more, with additional cards planned for release soon.

Avid Games has announced two more Hordes are coming in the next few months, ensuring Eerie Worlds offers lasting replayability.

Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card for battle. Engage in nine 30-second turns, making crucial decisions regarding mana usage, synergy exploitation, and more.
