The non-locking wrist rests can be a minor inconvenience. If you value adjustability and can overlook these quirks, the C7 is an excellent choice. Its understated design fits well in professional office settings, but if you're after something more flashy or luxurious, you might want to look elsewhere.

Consider getting a desk frame here and the desktop surface elsewhere

I own three standing desks. One came with a desktop, but for the other two, I sourced my own surfaces. For one, I got a massive 74"x26" maple veneered countertop from Ikea for $199. For the other, I purchased a 48"x25" solid wood countertop from Home Depot and finished it myself. You can't go wrong with these options, and there are many more available. The key point is that these standing desk bases don't require the manufacturer's desktops. If you prefer to install your own, feel free to do so, as long as they fall within the weight limits.

How does Flexispot compare to other brands?

From personal experience, I own a Jarvis Fully, a Vari Ergo, and a Flexispot E5. All three are excellent desks and have served me well over the past three years. However, the Flexispot E5 is significantly more affordable than the others, yet it's hard to see where the extra cost for the other brands goes.
