Finn Jones Acknowledges Critiques, Determined to Prove Doubters Wrong

Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix to the MCU as Daredevil has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, recently expressed his eagerness to return to the role, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last donned the mantle of Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Iron Fist series on Netflix and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite the mixed reception to Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist, the resurgence of Daredevil in the MCU has renewed hope for a revival of The Defenders. Recent reports suggest that Marvel is "exploring" the possibility of bringing back the team. At the LaConve anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism he received and appealed to both fans and Marvel for another chance.

"There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen," Jones said to the convention audience when asked about a potential return as Iron Fist. "There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again directly continues the narrative from the Netflix series, which once formed a smaller Marvel universe alongside shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series are now officially part of the MCU canon, available on Disney+. Jon Bernthal's Punisher, another character from the Netflix universe, also features in Daredevil: Born Again.
