Konami and FIFA's esports collaboration: An unexpected partnership! The long-standing rivalry between FIFA and PES has taken an unexpected turn, with FIFA partnering with Konami's eFootball for the FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024. This surprising crossover event is set to take place across console (PS4 and PS5) and mobile platforms.
The tournament features two divisions: Console and Mobile. Eighteen countries are vying for the final spots: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.
From October 10th to 20th, players can compete in a three-stage in-game qualifier. National Nomination Phases for the 18 participating countries will follow from October 28th to November 3rd.
The offline final round will conclude in late 2024; the exact date remains unannounced. Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in the qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards such as 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other in-game bonuses.

This partnership marks a significant shift after years of competition. Following EA's split with FIFA in 2022 (due to a disagreement over licensing fees), this collaboration with Konami's eFootball for the FIFAe World Cup 2024 is a noteworthy development. EA subsequently launched EA Sports FC 24 without the FIFA branding.
Download eFootball from the Google Play Store and participate in the current special event featuring a Bruno Fernandes design and an 8x match experience multiplier for faster Dream Team progression.
