Sony's latest State of Play event has unveiled an exciting array of upcoming games for the PS5, providing gamers with a glimpse into the future of PlayStation gaming. The showcase was packed with thrilling announcements, new trailers, and release dates for highly anticipated titles. From the next installment in the Returnal series, Saros, to the long-awaited Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the event left fans buzzing with anticipation.

One of the highlights was the reveal of Saros, Housemarque's follow-up to the critically acclaimed Returnal. Set to launch on PS5 in 2026, Saros takes players to the mysterious planet of Carcosa, where an ominous eclipse looms. Players will step into the shoes of Arjun Devraj, portrayed by Rahul Kohli, navigating a world where every death reshapes the environment and unlocks new upgrades.

Konami confirmed the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, set for August 28, 2025. Accompanied by a new gameplay trailer, the game promises an immersive experience with an exciting Ape Escape collaboration and potential future crossovers.

Gearbox announced that Borderlands 4 will hit the shelves on September 23, 2025, and shared a new gameplay trailer to celebrate. Fans can look forward to a Borderlands 4-themed State of Play later this spring.

Capcom showcased a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, revealing the game's protagonist, the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. Set to release in 2026, the game promises new gameplay and an engaging narrative.

A surprise reveal was Tides of Annihilation, a single-player action-adventure game set in a modern London overtaken by otherworldly forces. Players will control Gwendolyn and can summon the Knights of the Round Table to fight against skyscraper-sized bosses.

Stellar Blade will feature a crossover with Goddess of Victory: Nikke, introducing themed content in June 2025, alongside a PC port release window.
