Escape from Tarkov's wipe, originally planned for before the New Year to coincide with a simplified Kappa container quest, now has a confirmed release time. The update will begin on December 26th at 7:00 AM GMT / 2:00 AM EST. Following maintenance (estimated at 8 hours, though past updates have taken longer), the game will update to version 0.16.0.0, with Tarkov Arena simultaneously updating to 0.2.5.0.

To keep players engaged during the downtime, Battlestate Games will host a New Year's Special on Twitch at 4:00 PM GMT / 11:00 AM EST. While the specifics remain undisclosed, additional content is promised.
