BioWare has largely shifted its focus away from Dragon Age: The Veilguard, yet the dedicated team still working on it has managed to surprise fans with a new small DLC weapons pack. This unexpected addition has stirred excitement among the Dragon Age community.

The RPG's Steam page was recently updated to showcase the Rook’s Weapons Appearance Offer, a free add-on content that was quietly introduced. Given EA's earlier announcement that Dragon Age: The Veilguard would receive minimal support moving forward, this new content feels like a small miracle. Especially since the fifth patch in January focused solely on addressing game-breaking bugs, signaling no new content on the horizon.

Surprisingly, the Rook’s Weapons Appearances bundle is exclusively available to current owners of the game and those who purchase it on PC by April 8, 2025. Details on what the bundle includes are sparse, but players have discovered that it provides access to a set of Watchful skins, which can be utilized in the Rook’s in-game room. It remains uncertain whether this offer will extend to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S versions of the game.

A Steam review mentioned, "Even if these appearances aren't the most, uh, beautiful things ever, they do give spooky eldritch horror vibes!" Echoing this sentiment, a Redditor commented, "It's cosmetic DLC, but it's essentially free DLC for a game that's practically no longer getting newer content. I'll live with that."
