How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To reach the cat island, you'll need to travel to the Omi region, typically around the midpoint of the game's story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and ready for new challenges before heading northeast towards Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a large body of water central to the Omi region. To reach the island, it's advisable to find a boat. You can secure one from the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo, or you can swim if you prefer the challenge.

Head to the larger island in the center of the lake, just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. You'll notice plenty of fish drying near the docks, a sign of a cat-friendly environment.

To immerse yourself in the feline paradise of Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these delightful creatures to your collection for your Hideout, especially the rare kittens which are difficult to find elsewhere.

While Leaps of Faith often unlock new map locations, the true treasure of Okishima is the companionship of your new feline friends. After exploring and taking the Leap of Faith into the haystack, there isn't much left to do except enjoy the cats. You'll revisit Okishima later in Yasuke’s storyline, adding another layer of excitement.
