Darkside Detective, Fumble in the Dark Launch

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing titles like the deck-builder Zoeti and now, the puzzle game The Darkside Detective and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both available simultaneously!).

Exploring the Darkside Detective Universe

The game unfolds in the perpetually gloomy, fog-shrouded town of Twin Lakes, a place where the strange, eerie, and utterly absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his endearingly clumsy partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, as they navigate the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department. Nine quirky cases await, immersing players in the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel paradoxes and monstrous tentacles to the secrets of a mysterious carnival and even mafia zombies! See the action for yourself in the trailer below:

Ready to Investigate?

The Darkside Detective is a delightful homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. The cases themselves boast intriguing titles like "Malice in Wonderland," "Tome Alone," "Disorient Express," "Police Farce," "Don of the Dead," "Buy Hard," and "Baits Motel."

The game's charm lies in its ability to inject humor into every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. Interestingly, A Fumble in the Dark can be enjoyed independently of its predecessor, also available on the Google Play Store.
