Dark Phoenix Saga Launches in Marvel Contest of Champions with Jean Grey, Bastion, and New Eidolon

Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, including the launch of the Dark Phoenix Saga, the introduction of new Champions, and the debut of a novel character type called Eidols. This month also marks a celebration of the game's powerful female characters, giving players the chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.

Jean Grey and Bastion are set to join The Contest, each bringing their unique powers and enhancing the game's narrative. Jean Grey becomes available on March 13th, followed by Bastion on March 27th. The Dark Phoenix Saga, a thrilling new quest, begins on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men battling against dangerous variants.

Expanding the game's lore, Marvel Contest of Champions will introduce additional Eidols to further the Founders' storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, was introduced in December 2024, and 2025 will see the addition of three more. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will make its debut on March 5th and be available until June 4th.

Lumatrix, crafted by The Founders, serves as a master infiltrator with abilities in spying, sabotage, and assassination, all executed with exceptional precision. Made of ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix can manipulate light in extraordinary ways. While it dazzles on the surface, it harbors a lethal capability to eliminate threats while remaining undetected.

March also honors the formidable women of The Contest. Kabam has collaborated with seven female developers and content creators, each associated with a different Champion. Players can participate in Solo Objectives and Realm Events to vote on which Champion will be revamped in 2025.
