How To Craft & Level Up Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Gem crafting in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is facilitated by Pyroxene, and can be done at any Inn or tent in the game. When you're in your room, select the second option from the top labeled "Create Gems." You can use as many Pyroxene as you want, with each Pyroxene crafting one gem at a one-to-one ratio. There are five types of gems that can be crafted, and each Pyroxene has an equal chance of producing any one of these gems.
Upon crafting a new gem, it starts at level 1 and can be equipped via the Battle Preparations menu. After the initial crafting, any subsequent gems of the same type will contribute XP to the base gem, helping it level up and increase its effectiveness with each level gained. If you're not particular about specific gems, it's advantageous to use all your Pyroxene at once to craft numerous gems, thereby randomly upgrading them across the board.
For those who have a preference for specific gems, there's a feature called "Eyes of the Sacred Bird." This activates randomly when crafting a single gem, limiting the types of gems that can be crafted with the Pyroxene used to just three randomly selected gems. You can deactivate this effect by exiting and re-entering the gem crafting menu. Crafting one gem at a time can be a bit tedious, but it increases the likelihood of activating Eyes of the Sacred Bird on the gem you're focusing on.
While Eyes of the Sacred Bird helps reduce the randomness in gem crafting, it doesn't eliminate it entirely.

Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Pyroxene is essential for gem crafting and can be found randomly throughout the overworld, appearing as distinctive orange crystals protruding from the ground. Interacting with these crystals will grant you one Pyroxene and cause the crystal to vanish. After completing a Skirmish or Battle, some Pyroxene in the overworld will respawn, encouraging you to revisit and explore old areas to gather more. Additionally, you can sometimes receive Pyroxene from letters, which can be read in your room at an Inn or tent.
