The developers at Firaxis Games have shared their roadmap for Civ 7 ahead of its launch on February 11, promising four new content releases in March. Just days before the game hits the shelves, Firaxis has detailed what's coming in early and late March, categorizing the updates into Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges.

Beyond the March update, the team teased an additional 2 Leaders, 4 Civilizations, and 4 World Wonders for players to explore. They also mentioned new events and challenges on the horizon, though specific release windows for this content remain undisclosed. Furthermore, Firaxis hinted at more content scheduled for release in October 2025 and beyond.

The developers also shared a list of planned updates that were not ready for the initial launch. While there are no confirmed release dates for these features, Firaxis assured players that dedicated teams are working to bring them out as soon as possible. The planned updates include:

  • Adding Teams to multiplayer
  • Expanding the number of players in multiplayer mode to 8
  • Allowing players to pick "starting and ending Age"
