In the exhilarating world of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you'll embark on a thrilling journey through ancient China, engaging in epic battles alongside iconic warlords. A pivotal moment in your adventure is choosing which faction to align with. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you make that crucial decision in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins Factions Explained

*Dynasty Warriors: Origins* unfolds over several chapters, with the first two chapters serving as an introduction to the game's main factions. As the Wanderer, you'll initially remain neutral, participating in skirmishes and major historical events like the Yellow Turban Rebellion and the Battle of Hulao Gate alongside Sun Jian, Cao Cao, and Liu Bei. This period allows you to get acquainted with each faction's dynamics and leaders.

By the time you reach Chapter 3, *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* signals that you must choose your allegiance by the chapter's end. By this point, you'll have a clearer understanding of which faction resonates with you. The game provides additional battles to help you make an informed decision.

To progress and eventually choose a faction, you'll need to complete specific missions for each leader. To ally with Sun Jian, you must complete three battles; Liu Bei requires two, while Cao Cao only needs one. Once you fulfill the required missions for a faction, a new mission will unlock, prompting you to pick a side. For instance, if you complete Cao Cao’s mission first, you'll be faced with the choice between him and Liu Bei, with the latter option unavailable if you haven’t completed his missions. You can always go back and complete missions for all factions before making your final choice.

Once you've made your decision, the faction you didn't choose will be locked out for the remainder of the game. This means you won't be able to take on sidequests from their officers or increase your bond with them, potentially making your chosen path more challenging. For example, aligning with Liu Bei, who starts with fewer officers, limits your opportunities to gain skill points through sidequests.

Each faction offers unique missions, so if you're keen on experiencing all that *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* has to offer, consider creating an extra save file before making your allegiance. This way, you can reload and explore different alliances later on.

That's your guide to selecting a faction in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*. The game is now available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, ready for you to dive into the action and make your mark on history.
