TouchArcade Rating:
I've been reminded that I should give other Marvel games a fairer shake. While I frequently cover Marvel Snap (Free) updates, other titles often only appear in my Monday Best Updates articles. That's a valid criticism! So, let's dedicate a Marvel Minute to exploring what other Marvel games are offering. It turns out Marvel Future Fight (Free) and Marvel Contest of Champions (Free) both have exciting new events. Let's dive in!
First, Marvel Future Fight is celebrating Iron Man! Tony Stark, ever the innovator, unveils new suits and weaponry. This event, inspired by Invincible Iron Man, introduces fresh outfits for Tony and Pepper. Here's a summary from the update notes:
"Marvel Future Fight welcomes Invincible Iron Man!
Upgrade your suits and conquer enemies!
New Uniforms: Iron Man, Rescue
Tier-4 Advancement: War Machine, Hulkbuster
New Legend+ World Boss: The Black Order's Corvus & Proxima return!
New Custom Gear: C.T.P. of Liberation
200 Crystals Event: Link your email for 200 crystals!"
Now, let's look at the ever-popular fighting game, Marvel Contest of Champions. New events usually bring fresh playable characters, and this game boasts an incredibly diverse roster. The selection of characters is truly impressive. Even Count Nefaria! As a longtime Marvel fan, I appreciate seeing these less-common characters, especially as playable fighters. The update notes detail everything:
"NEW CHAMPIONS
Count Nefaria: A Maggia crime syndicate leader with enhanced abilities gained through scientific experimentation. Resurrected as an ionic being, he’s effectively immortal as long as he drains other ionic entities.
Shathra: Daughter of Oshtur and Gaea, from Loomworld. Tasked with creating the Celestial Map of Humanity, her jealousy over her sister Neith led her to a vengeful quest to destroy her sister's creation.
NEW QUESTS AND EVENTS
Event Quest – Lupus In Fabula: An attempt to overthrow The Collector’s ship! The Summoner must evict these villains, each with their own plans for the Collector's treasures.
Side Quest – Ludum Maximus: The Maestro hosts the Circus Maximus, a series of games and challenges hosted by Count Nefaria, featuring 5x weekly Maps with randomized Paths and enemies.
Act 9; Chapter 1 – THE RECKONING: Following Glykhan’s self-destruction, the Summoner, guided by Superior Kang’s holo-tapes, embarks on an intel mission.
Glorious Games Saga: A four-month celebration featuring a classical antiquity aesthetic, Champion chase, reworks, and new Events and Quests.
Realm Events: Global collaborative events with milestone and ranked rewards, including a unique player title."
That's it! Both events look fantastic. If you haven't played these games recently, or at all, this might be the perfect time to give them a try. I know I'm going to check out Count Nefaria. He's just so...nefarious! Okay, I'll stop now. Enjoy!
