Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it an exciting new feature that simplifies the progression grind. The Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here’s a comprehensive guide on how it works.
The latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* introduces the Camo Challenge Tracking system, which is designed to streamline your journey to achieving coveted camos like Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter. According to the patch notes, “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”
This new feature allows you to manually select 10 camos to keep an eye on, making it easy to monitor your progress during gameplay without needing to navigate back to the main menu. Additionally, the tracker sends notifications for challenges you're close to completing, even if they're not part of your selected list.

To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. On an Xbox controller, press the Y button; on a PlayStation controller, press the Triangle button to add the challenge to your tracker. This allows you to check your progress on various camos or calling cards during live matches, making it easier to know what you need to do next to advance.
Even if you don't manually select a challenge, the game automatically populates your tracker with the challenges you're closest to completing. This information is always accessible, giving you a clear view of what you're about to unlock.
You can also find the top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby under the Daily Challenge section, which lists all the camos and calling cards that are “near complete” to being unlocked.
The Season 2 update has also made unlocking special camos more manageable. Previously, players needed to unlock nine military camos before accessing a special camo. Now, that requirement has been reduced to five military camos, although you still need to unlock two special camos to earn mastery camos.
The community has been vocal about the extensive list of camos for each weapon and the challenges in tracking progress and earning necessary kills and headshots. It appears that Treyarch has taken this feedback to heart, introducing more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall experience of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
