As revealed by developer Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to introduce an exciting new Zombies map. Dive into the details about the Mansion and what's in store for fans!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode with a thrilling new map, marking the fifth addition to the game's Zombies experience. A sneak peek of this map was shared via the official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studios' X (Twitter) on March 12, 2025. The image showcased the front of a grand mansion, displaying significant damage, flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and internal fires.
The post was accompanied by a caption saying, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and tagged with "#Zombies." Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a beloved recurring character from the series, played a pivotal role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given that Black Ops 6 is a remake of this title, it's no surprise to see Eddie making a return.
Eagle-eyed fans have noted that this map is set in the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline aligns seamlessly with the narrative from the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the storyline.
A significant feature of this new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies, as confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram account. When a user commented, expressing anticipation for facing "20 amalgams on this map too," the developers succinctly replied, "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks as Elite class enemies, will not be part of this map, potentially offering players a smoother gameplay experience in this setting.
