This guide details the four artifact detectors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, but locating them requires an artifact detector. Detector effectiveness varies, impacting the ease of artifact discovery.
The Echo Detector is your starting device. This small, yellow device uses a central light tube that pulses faster as you approach an artifact. While functional, pinpointing the artifact's exact location can be time-consuming.
Obtained either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo. It features concentric rings that illuminate progressively as you near the artifact, providing a clearer visual indication of distance.
Acquired during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers precise readings. Numerical values displayed on the device decrease as you approach the artifact, providing a more accurate sense of proximity.
The Veles Detector, earned by completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission, is the most advanced. Its radar clearly displays the artifact's position within the anomalous field, also indicating nearby hazardous anomalies. This is the best detector in the game.
