Ubisoft Mainz has recently provided exciting new details about their upcoming game, *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, through a captivating trailer release. While previous announcements teased the exploration of two distinct regions, Lazio and Albion, the latest preview suggests that Lazio serves as the initial setting before players transition to the main focus in Albion.
According to Creative Director Manuel Rainer, Lazio starts off as a peaceful region. However, an unexpected disaster forces players to venture into uncharted territories. These new lands are set in Britain, known as Albion, which presents a challenging environment characterized by a harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its remote location from Rome, making governance a complex task.
In *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without relying solely on force. Instead, fostering peace and harmony can be achieved by respecting and integrating with local customs. One of the game's innovative features is the ability to customize ships, allowing players to strategically choose between speed enhancements with oarsmen or increased firepower using onboard archery turrets.
*Anno 117: Pax Romana* is scheduled for release in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms, promising an immersive experience for players eager to explore and conquer the ancient world.
