The PS Portal transforms your PS5 into a portable gaming device, featuring an 8-inch 1080p LCD screen sandwiched between what resembles an extended split-pad DualSense controller. For remote play outside your home, a very stable and fast internet connection is essential. However, the PS Portal is not a standalone device; it requires a PS5 to function.

Sony has rolled out a feature allowing users to stream games directly from its PlayStation Now cloud streaming service, broadening your gaming options to over 120 titles, including "Ghost of Tsushima," "Resident Evil 3 Remake," "The Last of Us Part 1 Remastered," and "Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales." To access this feature, you must subscribe to the highest tier of PlayStation Plus, priced at $18 per month, offering a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a PS5.

It's worth noting that while the PS Portal offers a seamless remote play experience, you can achieve similar functionality at home using the PS Remote Play app on other devices like the Steam Deck.
