Starting today, Dell is offering an exceptional deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This price point is one of the best available for a prebuilt system with the RTX 5080, especially considering the steady price increases from other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other prebuilt option featuring the RTX 5080 is priced over $4,000. If you're considering a DIY PC build, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; its cost alone could match the price of this complete system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-gen Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of the three newly released Blackwell graphics cards, which are currently in high demand and hard to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already own a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the best upgrade – its performance edge over the RTX 4080 is minimal, though the enhanced frame rates from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do improve visuals in supported games. However, for gamers with older graphics cards looking for a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

Alienware has also launched its new-for-2025 Area-51 system, available for order at Dell. This configuration features an upgraded Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, 64GB of RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD, now priced at $4,649.99 after an instant $400 discount. The CPU is cooled by a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a hefty 1,500W 80PLUS Platinum power supply. Dell estimates delivery for early April.
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design is similar to the 2024 R16 model but includes minor aesthetic and cooling redesigns along with updated components. The I/O panel is now located at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window covers the entire side panel, eliminating the need for side panel vents. Air intakes are now positioned at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internal components have been refreshed, featuring a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
The initial wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these new GPUs are either out of stock, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
