Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: the third installment, officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is on its way, and Now You See Me 4 is already in development.

The exciting announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. He confirmed that Now You See Me 3 will hit theaters as planned on November 14, 2025.

Director Ruben Fleischer, who has signed on to develop and direct the fourth film, is steering the franchise forward. The series has already amassed an impressive $700 million at the global box office.

PlayThe original *Now You See Me* films featured a talented cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. The third film, *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t*, will introduce a new generation of illusionists played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, with Rosamund Pike also joining the cast.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t marks a reunion for Fleischer with Eisenberg and Harrelson, who previously starred in his debut film, Zombieland. Fleischer's recent successes include Uncharted, which grossed over $400 million worldwide, and Venom, which surpassed $850 million globally.

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will return to produce the new films alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, saying, “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”

Fleischer himself expressed his enthusiasm: “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”

Despite the franchise's commercial success, critical reception has been mixed. IGN’s review of the first Now You See Me gave it a 6.3/10, noting, “Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.” The sequel, Now You See Me 2, received a slightly lower score of 6.2/10, with IGN stating, “Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance.”
