Tribe Nine, from the creator of Danganronpa, set to open pre-registration

Tribe Nine, a new mobile ARPG from Danganronpa alumni Rui Komatsuzaki and Kazutaka Kodaka, is now open for pre-registration on Android and iOS! Pre-register now to receive an exclusive skin and other rewards.

For those unfamiliar, Rui Komatsuzaki's art and Kazutaka Kodaka's design were key elements in the success of the PSP visual novel and detective thriller, Danganronpa. Now, this talented team, along with other Danganronpa veterans, brings us Tribe Nine.

Set in a dystopian Neo-Tokyo in 20XX, Tribe Nine casts you as a teenager participating in the deadly Extreme Games orchestrated by the enigmatic Zero. Pre-registering secures you an exclusive Parallel Cypher/Y skin for Koishi Kohinata, plus other in-game goodies.

Expect the signature blend of thrilling action and retro-inspired visuals that defines Kodaka and Komatsuzaki's collaborations. Explore the world in retro sprite style, then transition to full 3D battles. Experiment with equipment and utilize Tension Cards to create unique character builds.

While Danganronpa might be considered less trendy now, its originality on the PSP is undeniable. The unique art style combined with the murder-mystery plot set it apart from typical visual novels. Whether Tribe Nine achieves similar success remains to be seen. Its distinct aesthetic is a strong point, but the 3D turn-based battle genre is saturated.
