LEGO's foray into video games began nearly 31 years ago with LEGO Fun to Build on the SEGA Pico. Since then, games featuring the iconic Danish bricks and minifigures have blossomed into a genre unto themselves, largely thanks to Traveller's Tales' addictive blend of action-platforming and countless pop-culture collaborations.

Narrowing down the best was a challenge, but we're proud to present our Top 10 LEGO games (so far!). Don't forget to check out the recently released LEGO Fortnite!

10. LEGO Island

No LEGO game list is complete without the 1997 PC classic, LEGO Island. While its graphics might seem dated, its charm endures. Stop an escaped convict from destroying the island, brick by brick! The diverse characters and surprisingly open world make for a fun, nostalgic adventure. Tracking it down might be tricky, but the journey to LEGO Island is well worth it—just beware the Brickster!

9. LEGO The Lord of the Rings

LEGO The Lord of the Rings cleverly uses audio clips from the films, creating a surprisingly effective and hilarious effect. Witness Boromir's dramatic death scene… with bananas! The game boasts a large roster, including book characters like Tom Bombadil, along with familiar puzzles and action. It's a LEGO adventure to rule them all (well, almost!).
