Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a sprawling adventure, and while technically conquerable in one marathon session (we don't recommend it!), knowing how to save your progress is crucial. Here's your guide to saving in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
There are three primary methods for saving your game: automatic saves, sleeping, and using Saviour Schnapps. Let's break each down.
The game features a helpful auto-save function that triggers regularly during quest progression. While exploring the open world won't trigger auto-saves, significant quest milestones and checkpoints will. This ensures you're frequently backed up, especially during main and side quests. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also provides numerous save slots, allowing for easy backtracking if needed. Remember, though, auto-saves won't happen during casual exploration, so be mindful in combat situations.
Finding a bed or a campsite with a bedroll? Simply interact with it to initiate a rest. Sleeping automatically saves your game.
This handy item, returning from the first game, allows for manual saves. Consuming Saviour Schnapps saves your progress. Regular Schnapps also provides a temporary health boost and stat increases. Weaker versions exist that only save the game. You can find Schnapps through exploration or craft them once you've acquired the recipe.
