Housemarque unveiled Saros during February 2025's State of Play. This new title, slated for release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro in 2026, builds upon and expands the thrilling gameplay established in their acclaimed 3rd-person action game, Returnal. Starring Hollywood actor Rahul Kohli as Arjun Devraj, Saros promises a captivating narrative experience.

Come Back Stronger

According to Housemarque's creative director, Gregoy Louden, Saros was conceived to allow Returnal to stand alone, establishing a separate IP that iterates on Returnal's compelling storytelling and mechanics. While Returnal offered a constantly shifting roguelike experience across dynamic biomes, Saros introduces permanent and evolving loadouts—weapons and suits—empowering players to "Come Back Stronger" and overcome any challenge.
