Riot Games still wants its MMO, but it is not even close to the finish

At this year's DICE Summit, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill shared his vision for the future, highlighting a highly anticipated project: a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set within the rich universe of League of Legends and Arcane. Merrill confessed that this MMO consumes a significant portion of his time, fueled by his personal passion for the genre and a deep understanding of the fervent desire among League of Legends fans for deeper immersion in their beloved world. While he refrained from divulging specifics like a release date, he playfully suggested a launch before humanity's first Martian landing—a timeline whose accuracy remains to be seen.

It's important to remember that this isn't Riot's only League of Legends-related project in the works. 2XKO, a fighting game eagerly awaited by fans for years, is also under development and boasts trailers and a projected release date before the year's end.
