Neutronized, the studio behind this year's Shovel Pirate, and other charming titles like Slime Labs 3, Super Cat Tales, and Yokai Dungeon: Monster Games, has released a new platformer: Shadow Trick. This free-to-play game retains Neutronized's signature style: short, fun, cute, and simple, with a retro 16-bit pixel art aesthetic.

What Awaits You in Shadow Trick?

As the title suggests, you play a wizard capable of transforming into a shadow to solve puzzles. This clever mechanic is the game's core. You'll switch between your physical and shadow forms to uncover secrets, avoid perilous traps, and outsmart enemies.

Explore a magical castle brimming with diverse biomes, hidden dangers, and challenging bosses across 24 levels. Each level conceals three moon crystals; collecting all 72 unlocks the true ending. Be warned: defeating bosses without taking damage is crucial for crystal completion. Some bosses, like the mischievous red ghost (which can reappear after seemingly vanishing!), will test your skills.

The environments are varied and inventive, including aquatic levels where you'll navigate as a shadow, encountering bizarre and unique fish bosses.

Worth a Look?

Shadow Trick boasts impressive visuals for retro pixel art enthusiasts, featuring captivating environments and charming chiptune music. Ready for a magical adventure? Download it now from the Google Play Store.
