Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over—A Style Statement with Shadowy Surprises!
From January 15th to 19th, Pokémon GO hosts Fashion Week: Taken Over, a stylish event with a sinister twist. Prepare for a showdown with Team GO Rocket, culminating in a battle against Giovanni to rescue Shadow Palkia. The event also features a Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th, offering a chance to catch this legendary Pokémon in its Shadow form and potentially as a Shiny.
This Fashion Week marks the debut of two new Pokémon: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. Shroodle will be hatching from 12 km Eggs. Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample opportunities to utilize Charged TMs to remove the Frustration move from your Shadow Pokémon.
New Shadow Pokémon are joining the roster, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Shiny versions of these Shadow Pokémon may appear. For the first time, Remote Raid Passes can be used to participate in Shadow Raids, regardless of location.
A special research task will reward you with a Super Rocket Radar, leading you to Giovanni and the chance to rescue Shadow Palkia. Field Research tasks will also be available, offering rewards such as Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing a special Collection Challenge grants Stardust and a Trubbish encounter.
Don't forget to redeem those Pokémon GO codes before the event ends!
Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day takes place on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event increases the chance of encountering a Shiny Ho-Oh and provides additional Raid Passes. Ho-Oh caught during this period can learn the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire. A $5 event ticket offers even more rewards.
