The Pokémon Go New Year's event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025, is bringing back the festive fun! Get ready for themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the December 21st-22nd Community Day event featuring returning Community Day Pokémon, this New Year's celebration offers a fresh batch of festivities.

One exciting feature is earning a whopping 2,025 XP for every Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw. Immerse yourself in the celebratory atmosphere with festive fireworks illuminating the skies and New Year's decorations adorning the game world.

Expect increased encounters with festive Pokémon! Spot Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat—and keep an eye out for their Shiny forms!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are boosted for all three!
