The PlayStation Portal, Sony's PS remote player, is coming soon to Southeast Asia! Following a significant software update addressing Wi-Fi connectivity issues, pre-orders begin August 5th, 2024, with launches in Singapore on September 4th and Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand on October 9th.

Improved Wi-Fi Connectivity:

Initial reports indicated suboptimal performance with Wi-Fi connectivity. However, a recent major update (3.0.1) now supports connection to public Wi-Fi networks, including certain 5GHz bands, significantly improving remote play stability. User feedback suggests a noticeable improvement in connection reliability.
